One Book Press was founded by sisters Elizabeth Helman Minchilli and Robin Helman Whitney. They grew up between New York and Europe, within the context of the international art world. Both have been working in publishing for the last fifteen years.

Elizabeth Helman Minchilli is the author and producer of six beautiful books on Italian lifestyle and design, including Private Tuscany, Restoring a Home in Italy and Villas on the Italian Lakes. She contributes to a wide range of magazines and newspapers in Europe, Asia and the United States, writing about food, travel, design and the joys of life. She is a frequent contributor to Architectural Digest, Town & Country, Food & Wine, Bon Appetit, House & Garden and The International Herald Tribune. Last year Elizabeth researched and starred in the PBS series Diary of a Foodie. Italian Rustic, Elizabeth’s sixth book, has just been published by Artisan, to great acclaim.

Robin Helman Whitney is an Art Director with over fifteen years of experience. After focusing on graphic work in New York’s art world, designing publications for galleries and working as an assistant to Andy Warhol, she has since developed a career in publication design, brand identity and web design. From New York to Hong Kong to London, Robin has worked with a wide range of clients with an equally wide range of needs, giving her the ability to adapt her creative process to different ends and to effectively manage concurrent projects. Robin’s work as a designer includes time at American Heritage, Homes & Gardens, ESPN Magazine and Tennis Magazine, Condé Nast and Time Inc. Her recent clients include Martha Stewart, Meredith and Wenner Media. |
