STEP ONE: INTERVIEW
We conduct a lengthy interview to determine how best to feature the subject you have in mind. (For instance, if it is a home, we discuss number of rooms, location, design and other factors.) It is also important for us to know what has motivated you to produce this book. Will it be a special gift for someone you know? Or will you use it for professional reasons? All of these factors will affect the way we approach the project.

STEP TWO: BUDGET
Once we have understood the subject and scope of your book, we will present you with an estimate. One Book Press collaborates with a variety of printers and can find a format and length to suit your budget.

STEP THREE: CHOOSING THE TEAM
Two of the most important members of the creative team that will produce your book will be the photographer and writer. One Book Press collaborates with a wide and talented group of professionals who have all authored or photographed books with well-known publishers such as Rizzoli, Workman and Chronicle. Part of the budget will include the cost for the content that they will provide: luscious, professional photographs accompanied by compelling, illuminating text.

STEP FOUR: PHOTOSHOOT
We arrange a professional photo shoot on location. If necessary we choose a stylist and provide elements to bring out the best in each image.

STEP FIVE: TEXT
We arrange for the author to conduct the necessary interviews and research that will result in the text that is the heart of the book.

STEP SIX: DESIGN
Our Artistic Director pulls together all of the elements to design and produce your book.

STEP SEVEN: APPROVAL
We send you a set of digital galleys, for your approval.

STEP EIGHT: PUBLICATION
Your book is printed and sent to you!

ADDITIONAL COPIES
OBP keeps costs down so that you only pay for the books you need printed. If you would like one copy of the book, then that is all you will pay for. Additional copies may be ordered and paid for as you need them.
