One Book Press is not like other companies. We specialize in image-driven books, and this means using the best photographers we can find. We do not use your own photographs to produce a photo album of an event or tell a story. We use only photographs taken specifically for your book. We collaborate with a wide range of talented and published photographers to capture your images in the same way as a mainstream book publisher.
One Book Press draws on fifteen years of experience in the publishing industry. We are happy to have at your disposal some of the most talented professional photographers in the business. Some of the photographers we work with:
Simon McBride’s work has appeared in books, magazines and journals across the globe. He is an editorial and commercial photographer whose work has been published in over forty books. He has photographed a number of subjects ranging from architectural, interiors and travel to people, products and corporate work. Simon McBride lived in Italy for several years in the 1990’s. He has photographed the length and breadth of Italian peninsula for numerous books, magazines and contributed regularly to the New York Times Travel Magazine for five years. He now lives and works in England and Italy.
Susie Cushner is an editorial and commercial photographer whose subjects cover such diverse subjects as food & wine, cooking, well-being, travel, interiors, gardens and lifestyle. Her work has been published in over fifteen books including The Cape Cod Table, The Pleasures of Slow Food and The Eiffel Tower Restaurant Cookbook. She has just finished Mastering the Art of Chinese Cooking and Your Inner Sea (for Chronicle Books.) Cushner’s work appears regularly in such magazines as Food & Wine, Martha Stewart, Town & Country. Based in New York , her work takes her all over the world and she is equally comfortable working in a studio environment as she is on location.
Tim Andrews is passionate about cars and his passion is behind his specialization in automotive photography. This is a surprisingly broad area, which not only covers cars, but trucks, buses, motorcycles, bikes, in fact virtually anything with wheels! He is just as happy working for major car manufacturers as for private car collectors. Beyond that his recent work has taken him in hot air balloons, aboard aerobatic aircraft, and following mountain bike trails. But Tim realizes that man does not live by car alone and tackles other photography subjects, profiling wineries, hotels and travel itineraries. Tim regularly shoots major features and covers, working freelance for magazines such as Performance Car, Autocar and Car Magazine. Alison Harris is a freelance photographer based in Paris. She travels widely to cover stories for top European and American magazines. She also does studio work for food assignments and portraiture. Alison Harris has photographed such international bestsellers such as Marcella Cucina (Marcella Hazan, HarperCollins) and Sophie Loren’s Recipes and Memories (Sophia Loren, GT Publishing). She has photographed a number of books for The Little Bookroom including The Patisseries of Paris and three Terroir Guides. |
